Places to visit in Cambridge

When you stay at Rectory Farm you’re only a stone’s throw away from a range of exciting tourist attractions. There are lots of hotels in Cambridge, but few are located as conveniently as Rectory Farm. All of the attractions mentioned below can be reached on foot, or by car or bus. Nearby you’ll find the Cambridge Tourist Centre, a great place to start if you’re not entirely sure what attractions you wish to visit while you’re in the area.

Kings College Chapel is open all year round and you’re invited to attend the choral services in the Chapel itself. You can also tour the Cambridge Colleges, which make up the world-famous Cambridge University, an educational institution that’s recognised around the globe.

Cambridge University’s Botanic Gardens are a great place to discover plants from every corner of the world; set over 40 acres the Botanic Gardens are a huge favourite with visitors to the area.

Other notable attractions situated close to Rectory Farm include the Orchard Tea Garden and the American War Memorial Cemetery. The City Sightseeing Bus also stops close to Rectory Farm, on which you can enjoy an open top tour of Cambridge and all of its major sights.

Numerous day trips are available from the Cambridge area, taking tourists to popular attractions including the famous Wimpole Hall, Angelsey Abby, Ely Cathedral, Newmarket Races and the Imperial War Museum (Duxford).
